Calculator inputs
Calculations run locally in your browser. The site does not send your calculator inputs to our server, save them in local storage, or require an account. The copy button sends text to your clipboard only when you press it.
Analytics cookies
We use two analytics services, and only after you choose “Accept analytics” in the cookie banner. Until you accept, and if you choose “Reject”, neither script is loaded and no analytics cookies are set. We use them on the basis of your consent.
- Google Analytics 4 (Google) records the pages you view, how you reached the site, your device and browser, and your approximate location. It receives page addresses and titles, not the values you type into a calculator. It sets cookies named _ga and _ga_YLF99PYY9K, which last up to two years.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft) records sessions: clicks, scrolling, mouse movement and the pages you visit, which it turns into heatmaps and replays. We set Clarity to mask the text and form fields in the main page area, including calculator inputs and results, so its recordings show placeholders instead of what you typed. It sets cookies named _clck (one year) and _clsk (one day) on this site, and Microsoft sets its own cookies, such as MUID and CLID, on Microsoft domains.
Google and Microsoft may process this data outside the UK under their own terms. Read the Google privacy policy and the Microsoft privacy statement.
Changing your choice
Use “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page. If you choose “Reject” after accepting, the site tells both services to stop, deletes the analytics cookies set on this site and reloads the page, after which neither script loads. Cookies on Microsoft domains can only be removed in your browser settings. Your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage under “analytics-consent” so the banner does not appear on every page.
Hosting and fonts
Fonts are served with the website. The hosting provider, Vercel, processes ordinary request information, such as your IP address and the page requested, when serving the site.
Contact and external links
The issue-report form opens a draft in your email application. Nothing is submitted until you choose to send it. Email handling then depends on your email provider and the recipient’s mail service. Maps, supplier websites and technical references open external websites with their own privacy practices.
